How We Work, and How Senior Care Advocates Are Paid at LifeCare

You should know how an advocate is paid before you share your family's story. Here is how LifeCare Senior Advocates works, what costs money, and who pays Dave Brandt.

Dave Brandt, senior advocate and founder of LifeCare Senior Advocates

How Senior Care Advocates Are Paid at LifeCare Senior Advocates

Dave can be paid in up to three ways: by your family, by an insurance company, or by a care community. He tells you which ones apply before you decide anything.

First conversation

Always at no charge, for you and any family member who wants to join.

Advocacy and planning

Dave charges by the hour or a flat fee, depending on what your family needs. He tells you which one applies and what it costs before any work starts.

Medicaid applications

A certified Medicaid planner from our partner firm handles the application with you. Their work is included in Dave's fee.

Insurance products

Dave is a licensed insurance agent. When a long-term care policy, annuity, or funeral trust fits your plan, the insurance company pays him a commission. You will always know when a recommendation involves a product.

Care communities

Some care communities pay Dave a referral fee when a family moves in, and he tells you which ones before you choose. Dave does not represent any facility.
